The area our Association covers is to the west in
Govan. From Bervie Street, to Ardshiel Road. We have around 550 houses of Glasgow City
Council along with Housing Association and Private Ownership.
We are part of a group of Tenant Associations which make up the Langlands Estate Action Group. The other members who make up the group are Shieldhall Tenants, and Greenhead Tenants, both of which are to the west of us on the map.
What we are
We are a voluntary Tenants & community group, our aims are to promote a healthy, clean and secure environment for all.
We are open to all irrespective of a individuals own political, religious, and ethnic background. Our Association meetings are public and held monthly on the first Wednesday. We have a voluntary management committee and each month they meet to determine the best means of achieving our aims.
Our main source of funding comes from the Tenants Action Fund, This is a voluntary contribution paid through the rent by Glasgow City Council Tenants. The administration of the fund is the responsibility of Glasgow City Housing. Only City Council Tenants in our committee and at our public meetings can vote on the spending of that fund.
At the moment this can only be a brief list of idea's which the Association are considering.
